Chael Sonnen Suspension Cut to Six Months; $2,500 Fine

Several websites are reporting that the California State Athletic Commission (CSAC) has ruled today to reduce Chael Sonnen's 1 year suspension for fighting with elevated testosterone levels in August in a championship match against Anderson Silva to 6 months.

Sonnen has already served 3 months of his suspension, beginning in September. With this timetable, Sonnen will be allowed to return to the UFC in roughly March of 2011.

Sonnen will also be forced to pay a $2,500 fine before be allowed to compete again.
